Third grade is the first year that students take the Virginia SOL (standards of learning) test. There will be one test for reading, math, social studies and science.  There is so much to learn in third grade. I have listed links for websites that have games/activities to reinforce the skills we teach in the classroom. A great site that we often use in the computer lab is SOLpass. This site has many great activities to use to prepare for our social studies and science tests. Please go to www.solpass.org. Once you are there, please click on “Elementary School”, then you’ll be asked for a password. Please enter wlee and click LOGIN. Then click on “3rd grade Science Activities” or “3rd Grade Social Studies Activities”. Scroll down the page until you find the activities that go along with our current unit. Please feel free to go back and do activities related to past tests, they will help you review your skills for the SOL test at the end of the year.
